Special Governance Notice on the Usage Scope of Mini Program Growth Plan AI Resource Pack
Recently, the platform has discovered that some developers are improperly consuming the free quota of the "Mini Program Growth Plan" AI Resource Pack from unauthorized sources (such as AI tools, Web SDK, etc.), disrupting the fair allocation and normal usage order of the resource pack. To regulate usage behavior, we hereby clarify the violation scenarios and provide compliance guidance.
Scenario Definition
The "Mini Program Growth Plan" AI Resource Pack (including Token Resource Pack and Image Generation Resource Pack) is a dedicated free quota provided to Mini Program developers, and can only be used from specific sources. Calling AI capabilities from unauthorized sources while consuming the Growth Plan free quota constitutes a violation.
Allowed Sources
The "Mini Program Growth Plan" AI Resource Pack can only be used from the following sources:
| Source | Description |
|---|---|
| Mini Program Base Library | Calling AI capabilities on the Mini Program client via wx.cloud.extend.AI methods |
| CloudBase Server-side | Calling AI capabilities via wx-server-sdk, @cloudbase/node-sdk, or @cloudbase/js-sdk in Cloud Functions or Cloud Run |
| CloudBase Console | Using AI capabilities directly in the CloudBase Web Console |
Violation Types
| Violation Type | Description | Common Scenarios |
|---|---|---|
| Improperly Consuming Free Quota via AI Tools | Consuming the free quota of the "Mini Program Growth Plan" AI Resource Pack when using large model capabilities in AI tools | WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, Claude Desktop, Codex, and other AI tools |
| Improperly Calling via Unauthorized SDKs / Environments | Calling AI capabilities from unauthorized SDKs or environments while consuming the free quota of the "Mini Program Growth Plan" AI Resource Pack | CloudBase Web SDK, third-party APIs, direct HTTP calls, etc. |
Governance Measures
- System deduction logic adjusted: When calling large models from unauthorized sources outside the "Mini Program Growth Plan" allowed scope (e.g., AI tools, Web SDK), the system will no longer deduct from the Growth Plan free quota — instead, it will deduct from the plan quota. Therefore, developers must ensure the current plan is a Resource Point Plan so that plan quota can properly offset large model Token usage. If the current plan is not a Resource Point Plan (e.g., quota-based plan), the API call will fail directly — please upgrade to a Resource Point Plan first.
- Suspension of AI Resource Pack usage permissions: For violations, the platform will take measures such as suspending AI Resource Pack usage permissions depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
All developers are requested to use resources in compliance with regulations and maintain a healthy development ecosystem together.
Switching to Resource Point Plan
To use large model capabilities in scenarios such as AI tools or web applications, please ensure the current plan is a Resource Point Plan. For plan upgrade and switching methods, please refer to CloudBase Plan Upgrade Guide.
