ICP Filing FAQ
ICP filing is not required for custom domain access on the international site. The FAQ below applies to mainland deployment scenarios that require filing.
Does the environment need to keep more than 6 months of validity after the filing succeeds?
No. After the filing succeeds, the environment does not need to keep more than 6 months of validity. However, if you need to modify the filing later (such as changing the entity information or adding new domains), the environment must meet the "remaining validity > 6 months" requirement again at that time.
Can the filing server (CVM/Lighthouse) be shut down or released after the filing succeeds?
Yes. After the filing succeeds, the CVM or Lighthouse instance used for filing does not need to keep running (it can be shut down or released), but we recommend that you keep the minimum configuration for future filing modifications. Note that if the server resource used for filing is completely released or deleted, the Communications Administration may deregister your filing during regular inspections because no Tencent Cloud resource is associated with it.
How many websites/Apps can be filed with one CloudBase environment?
Each CloudBase resource supports filing 2 services (website/App), and does not support generating filing authorization codes.
My domain already has a filing number from another provider. Can I bind it to CloudBase directly?
For the international site, ICP filing and filing transfer are not prerequisites for binding a custom domain. See Custom Domain for access configuration.
For a mainland deployment that requires filing, a domain already filed with another provider (such as Alibaba Cloud or Huawei Cloud) requires a new access filing (filing transfer-in) in Tencent Cloud. After the filing information is transferred, you can bind and access the domain normally. Official Tencent Cloud guides:
